1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, files documents, or performs official checks for a user.

Its purpose is to identify the custodians of O'Brien County records, including the Sheriff's Office, Iowa District Court clerk, Iowa DCI Criminal History Records and Identification Section, and Iowa Sex Offender Registry, while also providing access to third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar collection tools against the pages
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
• Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass another person
• Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
• Rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information obtained here or through a linked service to intimidate, harass, stalk, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Iowa Code §692A.121 warns that misuse of Iowa Sex Offender Registry information may result in arrest and prosecution. Registry access supports lawful public safety awareness, never vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners do not supply services intended to screen applicants, evaluate renters, set insurance terms, or assess credit. Data from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

• Assess eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
• Make a hiring, retention, or termination decision
• Determine creditworthiness or insurance terms
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A check for a regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or the legally required official channel, not from this site.

5. No Legal Advice

We may restrict or end access at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.
